Detailed Job Description

Along with dental nursing your role will also include reception tasks; answering phone calls, making appointments and being able to communicate to patients with a positive and reassuring manner.

As mentioned above being able to over prepare and think a head is key: this will include:

  • Making sure surgeries are prepped and ready for each day ahead.
  • Being able to take notes/chart as the dentist dictates and listen to what treatment is planned next so that you are able to automatically pass this to the dentist.
  • Making sure instruments are cleaned through out the day, and that surgery is clean and tidy for each patient.
Reception duties include:

  • taking phone calls and booking appointments
  • taking payments
  • making sure all documents are up to date
  • making referrals
  • scanning in documents.
  • Helping patients fill in forms via iPad if they require.

Monday To Thursday 8:30 til 5:30
