Description

This is a rewarding opportunity to work and train as a Warehouse / stores apprentice with full training and recognised qualifications provided. Working in the warehouse, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Maintaining records of items in stock
  • Ordering products to keep the stock level in line with demand
  • Storing the merchandise within the health and safety guidelines.
  • You will also be expected to ensuring the warehouse is kept to a high level of cleanliness and ensuring hazards were dealt with in a timely manner.

Duties will include but not be limited to;

  • Receiving deliveries
  • Loading vans for deliveries
  • General warehouse duties
  • Completing paperwork
  • Stock control

You will need to have a high level of literacy and numeracy, be physically fit and resilient.

4 GCSE’s at grades A*- D including Maths and English (or equivalent).

You will work towards completing the Level 2 (intermediate) Apprenticeship in Warehousing and Stores.

This will include Functional Skills in English and Maths if you have not previously achieved a grade C (4) or above in GCSE English and Maths.

You will be trained within the workplace and assigned a workplace mentor. A College Apprenticeships Skills Coach will regularly visit you in your workplace to ensure that you receive the appropriate support and training to complete the apprenticeship.
