Our day nursery has been open since January 2005 and has a fantastic reputation throughout Northamptonshire. We offer a very exciting option for your childcare needs within our fun filled and educational nursery setting. We are a family run day nursery with excellent qualified staff that are also looked after to keep our staff turnover to a minimum which in turn means your child has recognition throughout their time with us here at Tudor Manor Day Nursery.

The nursery is ofsted registered for 92 children and offers breakfast, lunch and hot dinners cooked in our well equipped kitchen by our full time cook. We offer full time places, as well as part time and half day sessions from ages 3months to 5 years and the nursery is open from 8.00 am to 6.00 pm.

We provide a safe, caring and stimulating environment for your child to develop and learn at his or her own pace. Our wide range of toys and equipment allow us to tailor activities to suit the needs of each individual, while at the same time encouraging each child to try new experiences. We operate an equal opportunities policy in all areas of the nursery and have an appointed Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO).

Detailed Job Description

  • You will be organising interactive activities.
  • Changing nappies, feeding, caring and establishing a relationship with the children.
  • Working (under supervision) providing all aspects of care/support to children.
  • Ensure that the setting is safe, clean and well presented. Collaborate with colleagues.
  • Attend team meetings and contribute relevant ideas.
  • Be able to understand and implement the setting’s confidentiality policy.
  • Contribute towards an effective and supportive team environment.

Skills required

• You will need good communication skills and be comfortable with creative thinking.

It is helpful if you are confident with children, calm and organised

• Experience of working/participating in a team environment

Future prospects

When you have successfully completed your Apprenticeship, you may have the opportunity to continue with an exciting career in childcare! Initially you will be working towards an NVQ Level 2 in Childcare, with a chance to progress to a level 3 after that.
