Description

You will quickly learn how to work on live legal matters and have contact with clients. You won’t be thrown in at the deep end; your training will be carefully planned and you will work in a supportive team environment but will be doing a real job and contributing to the DAC Beachcroft business.

As a paralegal apprentice you can expect to either be assisting lawyers with their matters or managing your own matters on less complex files, with close supervision.

The Bristol Corporate and Commercial team is a highly regarded group of lawyers and paralegals who advise a range of clients on corporate and commercial issues domestically and internationally for a wide range of clients, ranging from FTSE 100 companies, publicly traded and private equity portfolio companies to public sector institutions, SMEs and entrepreneurial start-ups in a variety of diverse sectors. A broad range of transactions are undertaken by the team with particular emphasis on commercial agreements, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, LLPs, venture capital, private equity, disposals, AIM flotations and other fundraisings and reorganisations.

Typical tasks include liaising with clients and others; drafting documents, preparation and collation of correspondence, legal research and preparing transaction bibles and general administration duties such as maintaining an effective filing system.

DAC Beachcroft recognises and rewards hard work and therefore you can expect to start on a competitive salary and will be entitled to a number of benefits such as pension, life assurance, medical care, bike to work scheme, discounted gym membership and season ticket loans. We also offer a range of interesting social activities and involvement in a variety of Corporate Social Responsibility events.

Additionally, you will have the equivalent of 20% of your weekly contracted hours to use towards your study, in order to focus on the educational side of your apprenticeship. This will include a mixture of interactive webinars and face to face study sessions. This apprenticeship will give you an excellent start to your career in law, to provide you with a foundation that could lead to higher level qualifications upon completion of your apprenticeship.
