Description

Utilise excellent organisational skills to plan and prioritise work for all incoming testing. Provide detailed, accurate test estimates, which contribute to test planning. Understand and critically analyse business requirements to enable the design of detailed test requirements. Creation of clear, destructive and broad test cases that contain the appropriate level of detail.  Draft and issue test plans, where appropriate. Create and maintain test scripts in a test management tool, to a specified quality standard. Creating and maintaining appropriate test data and environments. Employ excellent attention to detail in executing the existing suite of regression test scripts over JHC solutions. Document and publish using a test management tool, all test results to a defined standard. Clearly and thoroughly document and report issues arising from testing in a timely manner and manage their resolution and tracking. Utilising excellent written and oral communication skills to liaise internally with developers where required. Verifying defect fixes. Issue testing status and completion reports to project teams and clients. Assist in the ongoing development and improvement of testing standards and procedures across the company. Throughout your apprenticeship, your role will be rotational allowing you to gain exposure in coding and development. You will be mentored and supported throughout your apprenticeship, making sure that you understand everything that is expected of you, gaining essential experience of working in a software company.

Software developer level 4 standard Approximately 11% of training takes place in the QA learning centre classroom. 9% is done in the workplace, through online training, face-to-face meetings with your QA Technical Skills Coach, or developing your portfolio. The remaining time will be spent on your workplace activity.
Strong analytical skills and problem solving ability Good attention to detail and organisational skills Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products Flexible, approachable and demonstrates a positive can-do attitude, even when under pressure Commitment to quality and a thorough approach to work Strong customer service skills, with a focus on providing excellent service to clients Confident and out-going with an interest in learning about the financial sector, and stockbroking in particular
92% of QA Apprentices secure permanent employment after finishing their apprenticeship. Additionally there may be opportunities to undertake further apprenticeship training as many of our programs offer on-going development tracks.
