Description

A vacancy for an apprentice, ideally with some experience as there is opportunity to compete on the yard’s dressage school master. There will also be a weekly riding lesson on offer. The position would suit someone with a preference for dressage and equally someone that is a competent rider.

General yard duties, feeds, mucking out, keeping the yard and school tidy. Lunging and grooming at competitions. A small group of children with special need come to the yard once a week to work with the ponies so someone that enjoys working with children is an added bonus.

Some previous experience with horses.
Must be able to work towards Level 1 or higher in Functional Skills maths and English
Full training through the Equine Apprenticeship supported by Haddon Training.
Keen, hardworking, good sense of humor. Willing to work out side in all weathers.
Opportunity for a full-time job or progression to a Level 3 apprenticeship.
Live in position with a possibility of taking your own horse.
