Description

Main role / Responsibilities [will include but not be limited to]:   Developing, testing and implementing IT solutions to improve the school’s teaching & learning Involvement in Ethernet based TCP/IP networking and wireless networking Administering a Windows domain with an Azure cloud component Routine maintenance and repair of computers Assisting with the installation of hardware and software Trouble shooting and configuration of Microsoft Windows servers and client computers in a domain including use of group policy Assisting with the deployment of iOS devices, typically iPad Air and Enterprise wide iOS administration using Apple products Assisting with the maintenance and operation of the multi-site print management system Setting up and using Audio Visual equipment such as multimedia projectors and visualisers Helping and training others to make effective use of IT systems and software Supporting parents and students with common IT use proble Assisting others with the use of common software applications such as Microsoft Office

3 x GCSE (or equivalent) at grades A-C in any subject, plus GCSE English and Maths (or equivalents) at grade D or above.
Approximately 11% of training takes place in the QA learning centre classroom. 9% is done in the workplace, through online training, face-to-face meetings with your QA Technical Skills Coach, or developing your portfolio. The remaining time will be spent on your workplace activity.

92% of QA Apprentices secure permanent employment after finishing their apprenticeship. Additionally there may be opportunities to undertake further apprenticeship training as many of our programs offer on-going development tracks.
