Newchurch Pre-School in Culcheth has a fantastic opportunity to offer to the right candidate to begin your career in Childcare with an apprenticeship at this successful nursery setting
Your Job role duties will include:
• To ensure the children are cared for in a happy, safe and stimulating environment
• Complete all tasks and work set with the training provider
• To plan, prepare and review the curriculum with the team on your site for EYFS
• To plan activities for the children based around their interests
• Ensuring risk assessments, health and safety procedures are followed at all times
• To work in partnership with the parents
• Be flexible and able to cover/work with various age groups
• To follow and implement all the policies and procedures set out by the nursery
• Follow risk assessments at all times
• Have a good team work ethic and work with your team members at all times
• To ensure confidentiality at all times
• To attend staff meetings by request
As an Apprentice you will be included on a Early Years Care qualification, either a L2 or L3.
This will be delivered by an Award Winning Training Provider who will support your learning and development alongside your mentor throughout your Apprenticeship. This will involve a Regional Trainer coming to visit you on a regular basis to deliver the training and guide you through your Apprenticeship.

GSCE English and Maths C or above is an advantage but not essential as training to this level will be provided.
Level 2 Childrens and Young Peoples Workforce
Each framework includes a diploma/certificate which shows the practical skills, a technical certificate to confirm the knowledge and understanding and Functional Skills in Maths and English.
You will be assessed throughout the apprenticeship and complete the qualification based on the competencies within your job role.
You will be assessed by a combination of observations, professional discussion, question and answer sessions and self-study which is required to confirm your knowledge and understanding of the career route you have chosen.
