Description of Opportunity
To ensure a varied and broad experience of financial processing within the royalty department, this position will cover 3 separate areas of the department; Rights Administrator (6 months), Royalty Administrator (6 months), and Royalty Accounts Assistant (6 months).

Some experience with Excel, Word and Outlook is required
You will need excellent attention to detail and a consistently high standard of accuracy
You will need to have a proactive approach to problem solving
You will have good communication skills so that you can build strong working relationships across the business and externally too
5 GCSE’s A*- C/9 – 4 including Maths and English (or equivalents)
All candidates will be required to complete Colchester Institute's mandatory initial assessment process before being put forward to the company. This will consist of online assessments

The work is computer based with the majority carried out on our Royalty system (Biblio) and our finance system is SAP. Training for both will be given.
PRH are looking into flexible work patterns where some days could be worked from home if desired
After 1 year the wage will increase to £17,550 annually
The location is rural, there are buses however it can be difficult to get to using public transport
Colchester Institute – Apprenticeship Team manage the applications to this role and you will be required to complete our initial assessment process before your application gets sent onto the employer

Finance Services (which royalties are part of) includes other areas such as Credit Services, Purchase Ledger, Costing and Financial Accounting. There are also separate finance teams within the publishing departments in our London based offices
Penguin Random House (PRH) are the largest trade book publisher in the UK.
The royalty department sits within Finance Services and provides royalty accounting services for all publishers within the PRH group.
There are 32 members of the royalty department split into 4 sections – royalties, rights, operations and accounting.
