Description of Opportunity
To undertake multi skilled electrical and/or mechanical engineering work providing Equipment Installation, breakdown, and maintenance activities on a varied range of high-level food manufacturing machinery. You will work towards a Level 3 Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician apprenticeship standard.

Any Electrical / Mechanical Engineering experience would be advantageous
Good problem-solving skills
Good communication skills
Applicants will need a minimum of 3 GCSEs at grades A*-C/9-4 (or equivalent) including English and maths-based subjects.
Understanding of safety equipment and circuits
Good understanding of low voltage systems and signals (e.g. digital & analogue)
Good understanding of Electrical / Electronic engineering
Good understanding of Mechanical engineering
Ideally able to Fault find with PLC’s
Provide excellent customer service
Proactive and show a willingness to learn and develop
Team player though capable of working on own initiative
You must be able to travel to and from work and college.
We are willing to contribute to travel allowances if you are travelling from far away from work/college.
Successful completion of the apprenticeship could lead to a higher-level apprenticeship or full-time employment for the right candidate.
