You will be required to work Days and bank holidays.The location of employment will be at North East Dementia Care Centre in Pennywell Business Centre. Successful candidates will need to make appropriate travel arrangements.
Your role is to support Service Users and this may involve a huge variety of activities to keep service users stimulated whilst attending the day care centre.

The North East Dementia Care is a non-profit organisation which was founded in March 2019 and officially opened for day care members in July 2019. North East Dementia Care started with 4 members in 2019 and we now have 52 members from Sunderland and surrounding areas such as Washington and Houghton. North East Dementia Care is a day care centre in Sunderland for Dementia. Dementia is an umbrella term used to describe a range of progressive neurological disorders, that is, conditions affecting the brain. The main aim of the North East Dementia Centre is to offer a safe, supporting and a stimulating environment for people with dementia. We provide members with hot food, day care facilities, travel (to and from the day care) and stimulating activities such as singing, entertainment, craft creativity. There are currently over 3500 people in Sunderland with dementia and our overall goal is to reach out and support further people.
