You will be working in a chilled environment and are expected to be active for long periods of time. The ability to handle meat is essential to the role as well as using a knife and other equipment safely.
Following the apprenticeship there may be an opportunity to progress into full time employment.
Picks Organic Farm LTD was founded in 1999 and has been growing ever since. We are a family run business producing our own organic pedigree Hereford beef, old spot pork, grass fed lamb, free range chickens and eggs, seasonal Christmas poultry and seasonal local game. Our butchers cut, prepare, and pack our meat onsite which is sold to farm shop customers as well as at farmers markets and events around the country. Our butchers also prepare homemade burgers and sausages which we cook at food festivals and events.
