Description of Opportunity
You’ll be responsible for maintaining the applications day to day, ensuring that the systems are up, upgrades and patches are tested and installed correctly, and interfaces are working etc. You will also liaise with other technical teams, customers, and third-party suppliers to ensure continuity of service. Full training will be provided.

Previous IT experience
Knowledge of administration of Microsoft Windows Server – Active directory, File and Print, Exchange Server – from a user perspective
Knowledge of supporting Applications and Deployment
Experience of working dealing with customers and working with others
4 x GCSEs at A*-D / 9-3 which must include GCSEs at grades C/4 or above (or equivalent) in maths and English.
A L2 IT qualification (or equivalent)
Can communicate effectively with others, both verbally and in writing
Able to keep focussed, even when activities and plans have to be changed at the last minute.
Completes work of a high standard with little errors
Willingness to work flexibly and outside normal office hours as necessary
Has an awareness of new developments in the applications arena and an interest in computing in general
Is able to research information, to make logical decisions
Can identify problems and find solutions to fix them
Awareness of customer needs and can keep the customer informed of progress
Keeping records up to date whilst identifying and resolving any issues
Ability to understand and follow procedures
Able to successfully meet deadlines
