We are looking for candidates who are willing to work towards the Level 2 Adult Care Worker qualification, and who are also willing to undertake any additional training and qualifications that are necessary & relevant to the role. Full training will be give, but we do require candidates to have certain qualities and skills in order to support our service users:
Experience and/or understanding and awareness of working in a recovery focused way, empowering, motivating and supporting people with complex needs
Training in Mental Health, substance misuse, complex needs and/or challenging behaviour is desirable, but not essential
Good IT skills
This is a training position so willingness to learn is required.
Conscientious, with good attention to detail – the role requires written reports, and completion of important documentation
Ability to undertake personal care tasks whilst maintaining and ensuring clients privacy & dignity
Able to lone work and manage a crisis
Ability to communicate in a helpful, empathic, positive and friendly manner
Able to build professional and effective relationships
Able to work under their own initiative , as well as part of a team
Able to motivate others
Able to manage own time effectively
Full-time employment with the organisation upon completion.

To provide recovery focussed 24/7 support to vulnerable clients, with mental health and other complex needs, while in a residential and supported living service. Staff will be required to ensure that clients are supported in a wide range of needs such as:
Supporting people with mental health and other complex needs
General practical help with life skills, promoting health, independence and quality of life
Being responsible for the health and safety of the service at night
To deliver the service in line with Local Authority and Care Quality Commission requirements.
