Description of Opportunity
We are excited to be recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to join our fantastic SEN team. The main function of the role is to support students with special educational needs. Support will be offered in class, group interventions, one to one intervention, mentoring, exam access arrangements and encompass academic and pastoral needs.

Awareness of different special education needs and how to support people with them
Good literacy & numeracy skills
Understanding of the importance of equal access to education
General administration and communication skills both written and verbal
Understanding of safeguarding children
Confident with behaviour management
Experience in a school environment
For this level Apprenticeship A*-C 9/4 in maths and English is requested, with an ICT qualification considered an advantage, however all applicants will be considered on merit subject to initial assessment against the challenging academic requirements of the standard. Confident application of English is critical to this role.
There is scope for a paid position to become a permanent member of our SEN team at the end of the apprenticeship.
