Due to an ever-increasing patient demand and increase in clinicians Lockwood GP Surgery is now seeing to take on an apprentice to learn how a GP Surgery functions – concentrating on the Customer Service side of the Surgery.

Good communication skills – both verbal and written.
Good time-keeping and attendance
A minimum of three GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above – other equivalent qualifications are acceptable OR prior experience in business or administration role.
Successful applicants should have Maths and English Grade C or above. However, if you do not have this our training support will help you achieve your functional skills Level 2 before you undertake your apprenticeship
The ability to work as an individual as well as part of a team and be respectful to team members at all times. Be an excellent communicator at all levels, via telephone and face to face. Be able to use their own initiative.

There are many opportunities and pathways for the candidate to take – business admin, patient navigation, clinical. The Candidate may wish to follow a clinical pathway going for Health Care Assistant or may wish to remain on the admin side. Again, this opens up many career paths from reception through to reception manager, to inputting data control or secretarial.
