You must be efficient and organised in your work, be computer literate particularly with Word and Excel, familiarity with Apple iMacs would be highly beneficial. The role requires basic understanding of M & E services, Commissioning, HVAC and Water Treatment/Water Hygiene. It would suit a person willing to gain experience in HVAC engineering, commissioning & water treatment, someone technically minded with a desire to become a fully qualified commissioning or water treatment engineer
Essential: Excellent in English and Maths - must have GCSE grade C/4 or level 2 functional skills or equivalent to meet entry requirements of the programme. Computer literate.
Desirable: AS level Use Of Mathematics, AS level Data Analysis, AS level Decision Mathematics.
To fulfil this role you will need to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, we will train you the hands on skills needed to have a lifetime career. You will need to be personable, have good customer relation skills and be a team player.
A friendly and flexible outlook with a willingness to go the extra mile for the team and for our customers, these are the key to being successful in this role. You must be able to carry out clear instructions to continually raise the standards of processes within the team.
Site based role requiring travel.
Full support for training and guidance offered.
This role will involve you spending most of the time on our clients’ sites with a supervisor engineer/project manager, being trained on all aspects of the HVAC commissioning/Water Treatment & Water Hygiene. You will be traveling to and from the sites on a daily basis, depending on where the work is required. You will be expected to fill out the correct paperwork and help with preparation of test sheets, therefore a great attention to detail is a must as is a proficiency in the use of computers and standard office packages (email, word, excel, Dropbox).
Eventually we would like to see this role progress into full Engineering Role. You would become a full time commissioning or water treatment engineer, working on our clients’ sites with supervision until you would be confident and learned enough to perform certain tasks autonomously. You would learn to perform air and water balancing and HVAC systems validations to CIBSE Codes and BSRIA Guidelines, you would have a full understanding of technical terms – this will form an important part of the learning process.
The right person, if proved to be successful in the apprentice position, would be offered a full time position within our team.
