Practically minded
An enthusiasm to learn new practical and theoretical skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
Minimum requirements are a 3/D grade or equivalent in English Language and maths.
If you have achieved a level 2 or higher in heavy vehicle maintenance or in a similar field you may not be eligible for the apprenticeship
Willingness to learn new skills and knowledge
Ability to work within a team
A keen interest and passion for Heavy Vehicle technology
The salary for this Apprenticeship opportunity is based on the National Minimum Wage for the age of the applicant. Under 18 (4.62 per hour), 18-20 (£6.56), 21-22 (£8.36), 23 and over (£8.91).

M&S Commercials Ltd has been established for over 30 years. We have two depots conveniently located in the North Manchester area near to the motorway networks of the M60, M62 and M66.
Our Heywood depot specialises in MOT preparation, fleet and general maintenance plus servicing for HGVs and trailers and is found close to junction 19 on the M62 and junction 3 of the M66. We have a fully equipped 5 bay workshop with brake roller tester.
In addition to this we have 2 breakdown vehicles for onsite repair and servicing.
Our Radcliffe depot is the body work centre situated close to Junction 17 of the M60 and junction 2 of the M66.
We have an 11 bay workshop with an on-site shot blast booth and 3 bay paint shop.
Our staff are highly qualified and experienced.
We are accredited members of VBRA (RMI) and Safe Contractors.
We are active members of NMHASAG (North Manchester Health and Safety Group) and have a Green Business Membership with Groundwork Bury (GBA).
We work with Bury Council’s Environmental Health Department and have a permit to operate our spray and shot blast booths.
