Description

Gemsbrook Dressage is a Professional Dressage Training and Livery yard set in a lovely location in West Sussex close to the Surrey border. Producing quality dressage horses and providing training and livery for all levels from just backed to advanced.

Owned and managed by Paula Sherwood who has many years of experience training and competing to GP level with success and is also a BD Level 3 Coach.


This position would suit a Dressage enthusiast and there is potential opportunity for the right candidate to to compete the younger horses.

Someone with previous experience is required and equally the apprentice must be keen and willing to learn.


All usual yard duties included but not limited to: Mucking out, sweeping and keeping the yard and facilities clean and hazard free, feeding/watering the horses, turning out and bringing in, paddock maintenance. Plenty of ridden and training opportunities - Successful Apprentice will ideally have own horse to take to be trained on. No accommodation available.

Some previous experience with horses is essential. If we feel you do not have the relevant experience we will not be able to put you forward for this position.
GCSE Level 4/ Grade C in Maths and English or equivalent.
Call Haddon Training to discuss if not yet achieved - Must be able to work towards Level 1 or higher in Functional Skills Maths and English
Full training through the Equine Apprenticeship supported by Haddon Training.
Keen, hard working, good with horses, friendly.

Full time position

Not a live in position, but space for you to bring your own horse.
