Description

60 years experience in breeding and producing horses for International Dressage and Eventing.

Mares & foals, youngsters, backing, in-hand showing, visiting mares and stallions on site.

Level 2 non-riding position

General duties to include;

  • Mucking out
  • Turning out/bringing in
  • Tack cleaning
  • Tacking up
  • Feeding
  • Filling hay nets
  • Clipping/pulling/plaiting/trimming
  • Bathing
  • Rug changing
  • Paddock maintenance
  • Schooling
  • Riding
  • First aid
  • Exercising horses from the ground (lunging, horse walker, long reining, pessoa training etc.)
  • Holding for vet/farrier/dentist

All apprentices must have previous equine experience as the yard has big fit competition horses and stallions.
Must be able to work towards Level 1 or higher in Functional Skills maths and English
Full training provided through out the equine Apprenticeship supported by Haddon Training.
Successful candidate will be confident, hardworking with an outstanding work ethic - Lots of opportunities for those willing to put the dedicated work in!
Full time employment upon completion.
