Description of Opportunity

This vacancy is for a Customer Service Apprentice based in Fulwood, Preston.  The successful applicant will have the opportunity to undertake valuable work experience whilst gaining on the job qualifications. As a Customer Service Apprentice, your duties will include: Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers Communicate with customers by phone and e-mail Data input and any other general admin and ad-hoc duties as defined by management Call Handling – inbound from policyholders making a claim on their home emergency insurance.  Outbound calls to contractors and engineers to undertake repair works at policyholders’ properties Establish and maintain relationships with contractors, clients and customers  Deployment and management of contractors Daily management of system driven administration tasks Collate updates and proactively manage claims (in line with SLA/KPI’s) Liaise with clients to collate information and update them on existing leads/jobs  Updating the claims management system To maintain a calm and positive demeanour while speaking to customer’s experiencing a potentially distressing situation

Confidence to be able to communicate with customers Be able to record issues accurately if dealing with problems or customer complaints Good timekeeping and attendance Be an excellent communicator at all levels, via telephone and face to face
GCSEs at grades D/3 or above (or equivalent) in maths and English.
Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner apprenticeship standard, which includes:Level 2 BTEC Diploma in Customer ServiceLevel 1/2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)End-Point Assessment (EPA)Employee Rights and Responsibilities (ERR)Personal Learning and Thinking Skills.
Ability to work as an individual as well as part of a team and be respectful to team members at all times Be able to use their own initiative
