Description of Opportunity

This vacancy is for a Business and Administration Apprentice based in Blackburn, Lancashire.  The successful applicant will have the opportunity to undertake valuable work experience whilst gaining on the job qualifications. The Role: As a Business Administration Apprentice, you gain a basic understanding of the HR administration processes and procedures and your duties will include:  Answering phone calls and referring them to the appropriate person(s)/ members of the HR and training team when needed  Assisting with general HR administration duties that fall within department’s remit as directed by the HR team; this includes catering for the office and the Training Centre (especially when meetings are on) Replying to emails in a timely manner  General duties such as filing, photocopying etc.  Helping members of the team when necessary  Working off computer systems  Taking notes in meetings  Meeting and greeting clients when they enter the premises (mainly in the Training Centre but also covering the main reception on site during lunchtimes The general administration duties within this role may also include: Answering phone calls and e-mails Produce business documents Using and maintaining office equipment

Good communication skills – both verbal and written. Good time-keeping and attendance
A minimum of three GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above including English – other equivalent qualifications are acceptable OR prior experience in business or administration role.
BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration, QCF(Functional Skills, Level 2 – maths, English – if not already achieved)Employer Rights and ResponsibilitiesPersonal Learning and Thinking Skills
