This Traineeship work experience is part of an education and training programme that is focused on giving young people the skills and experience that employers are looking for. At its core is the Work Preparation training, English and maths for those who need it, and a high-quality work experience placement.

Are you aged 16 to 24 and qualified below Level 4?
Your day to day activities will be variable and may include:
Tasks will include:
Cleaning
Taking in and handing out prescriptions
Dispensing prescriptions using computer systems to generate stock lists and labels
Ordering items
Receiving, loading, unloading deliveries
Selling over-the-counter medicines
Answering customers questions face to face or by phone
Pre-packing, assembling and labelling medicines
Preparing medicines
Referring problems or queries to the pharmacist

There may be opportunities for interview and progression into an Apprenticeship or Employment with training or Further Education.
If successful on the Traineeship, you will progress on to a pharmacy assistant Apprenticeship
