Description of Opportunity

Learning about the products and services that Elliotts offer to their customers. Learning the Elliotts way of doing things Getting to know Elliotts customers, assessing and managing their requests Dealing with both new and a regular clientele Ordering stock accurately Getting to know suppliers Working closely with various departments and offering support to other branches Communicating with peers and being part of the Apprenticeship Buddy initiative Learning about and adhering to Health & Safety Administrative duties Communicating with customers face to face, via the phone and by email Learning the Sales function and quotation function Using the bespoke internal computer system

Strong communication skills both verbal and written Some basic IT knowledge would be useful although training on internal systems will be given Adequate Numeracy skills when pricing and quoting and understanding measurements in discussions with customers, this will get stronger over time Logical Ability to look for solutions as well as assistance if faced with challenges
4 GCSE’s or equivalent at grade A*-C (Grade 4 to 9) including English and maths
Throughout the duration of the Apprenticeship you will be required to attend one of PETA training centres for off-the- job training. The majority of training will be completed with your employer at your place of work.You will work towards the following qualifications:Customer Service Practitioner Level 2
Have good judgement and be able to work on own initiative Friendly and personable with a positive approach to learning and work Drive and passion to succeed Be able to influence customers both internal and external, communicating at all levels Highly organised with a strong attention to detail Value Career Development and engage in continuous self-improvement Good sense of responsibility
This starting position will hold many opportunities for the right candidate with the right attitude Elliotts have a strong commitment to all of those who start as apprentices to develop them. For candidates who aspire to learn and achieve, there is the prospect of further apprenticeship training at higher levels with the chance to specialise. In time, a person could progress all the way to degree level if they wanted to and demonstrated aptitude
