Sherwood Riding School
Description
Sherwood Riding School are a small riding school with some liveries and some horses they are bringing on and competing currently from elementary through to PSG dressage.
They have 17 horses in residence and are very proactive with training and teaching, qualified BHSI.
Their riding school has mostly kids, they are very inclusive, and love particularly working with autistic children. They teach mostly private sessions, and some in pairs, so successful candidate will need a passion for teaching and learning, and empathy for young learners.
Riding and competing opportunities for the right candidate (one who learns well and puts extra effort into their work), so a good work ethic is encouraged and rewarded.
Some general duties will include;
•Mucking out
•Turning out/bringing in
•Tack cleaning
•Tacking up
•Feeding
•Filling hay nets
•Clipping/pulling/plaiting/trimming
•Bathing
•Rug changing
•Schooling
•Riding
•First aid
•Exercising horses from the ground (lunging, horse walker, long reining, pessoa training etc.)
•Holding for vet/farrier/dentist

Some equine experience would be beneficial
GCSE Level 4/ Grade C in Maths and English or equivalent.
