Description

Wodehouse Stud is a well-regarded competition, livery and stud yard. This amazing role offers the opportunity to go hacking and bring your own horse dependant on ridden experience.

This role involves general yard and grooming duties including but not limited to mucking out, turning out, filling nets, tacking and tacking horses.

It is essential that you are a team player that has a can do attitude and can work off own initiative.

It would be desirable that applicants have experience of handling horses particularly fit competition horses, youngsters and stallions.

For those with a good level of ridden experience there may be the opportunity to hack out the horses and should you bring your own horses there is an onsite BS qualified coach for lessons and training.

Key characteristics Wodehouse are looking for:

· Dedicated, hardworking and a strong team member: This is a competition, livery and stud yard so we are busy throughout the full season and need someone who it motivated and driven to be part of the team.

· Flexibility and time efficient: The horses have a routine and so we need team members who can be punctual at the start of the day and ensure that their jobs are completed in a timely manner.

Willingness to be flexible at times when routines have to be changed.

· Use own initiative: being able to get on with jobs without being asked and making good use of time to ensure the yard is kept tidy and clean.

· Be trustworthy and vibrant!

The position would suit someone who is able to drive given where we are based.
