Description of Opportunity
We are looking for someone that is keen to learn everything involved in running a small fish and chip shop business. The right person will be given the opportunity to work with a small team doing all daily duties essential to the running of the business. Everything is based around giving the customer the best possible experience. A large part of the job will need excel-lent customer service skills and efficiency especially when the shop is busy. Sometimes when working under pressure an ability to work speedily and keep calm whilst looking after all customers is extremely important.
Duties to include everything from potato and food prep to serving/customer service and a willingness to learn frying and the running of the business including stock rotation, ordering and cleaning.
Potato prep involves the use of a rumbler and chipper to turn sacks of potatoes into cut chips ready to fry.
Serving involves using the till to take a customers order and then wrap their food ready for them to take. Customer service skills will be required to ensure the customer is well looked after from start to finish.
Other general food prep and cleaning will be required as part of the working day.
Keeping work areas clean during service and in quiet times will also be required.
A willingness to listen and learn and work hard when required.
