Description

As a Network Support Apprentice, you will learn everything there is to know about providing an effective IT and network support service.

Specifically, you will learn how to:- Install new software and hardware (servers, printers, computer workstations etc)- Set up user accounts, permissions, and passwords- Oversee security of all systems, especially the internet- Install anti-virus protection- Fix network faults- Provide technical support for people using the network- Train staff on new systems- Complete day-to-day admin and monitor network use- Plan future improvements- Suggest IT solutions to business problems

-Previous work history gained from a work placement or a part-time role

-The ideal candidate will have some home experience with setting up networks and trouble-shooting PCs.

-Knowledge of computers and various software would also be beneficial to your application

-A driving license would also be beneficial

At a minimum, GCSEs at grade 4/C or above, ideally A-Levels or a Degree an IT based subject

Level 4 Network Engineer Apprenticeship for 24 months
- A good telephone manor and (virtual) presence- To be comfortable speaking via video call- The ability to work within a team and take instruction
Once you have completed your apprenticeship, it is envisaged that you will move into a network engineering role which comes with additional training and the potential to travel to client sites unaccompanied.
