You will work as part of the accounts team and gain training and experience in routine day to day collection / credit control work, purchase ledger and payments, posting of trade spend, contra of Debtors ledger, banking, Cash Collection posting, Cheques raising and assisting in the other accounting work as and when required

Description of Opportunity

Key areas of responsibility:

· Payment and Cash flow

· Purchase Ledger

· Maximisation of revenues by ensuring that all charges are made promptly and correctly.

· Other Finance job and responsibilities

· Ensure that Group policies are adhered to.

· Dealing with local auditors along with Financial Accountant on statutory accounts, etc.

· To work within the company rules and conform to the published Staff Terms and Conditions, observing the rules on Disclosure of information at all times.

· To carry out any other reasonable task you are capable of and trained to carry out to enable the business needs to be met.

Please be aware that in order to be eligible for a Kickstart role, you must:

Be aged between 16-24 Be in receipt of Universal Credit Speak to your job centre work coach to be referred, you will need the post code for the role which is CH46 8XF

Good IT skills, particularly in MS Office applications
Pre-employment course in partnership with PeoplePlus

Full on the job training
Good standard of education up to GCSE level including maths and english

At the end of the 6 month placement you will gain valuable experience within an accounts team HR department

• Working knowledge of Microsoft excel & Word

• Ability to prioritise high volume of work

• Systematic and organised

• Committed and flexible

• Excellent communication skills

• Work on own initiative when appropriate

• Good level of numeracy and literacy

• Work accurately and methodically in order to meet deadlines

• Ability to communicate well with all levels of staff and management and other internal and external parties
