Description

We are a BHS (British Horse Society) and RDA (Riding for the Disabled Association) approved centre offering full equestrian facilities and catering for all abilities, from complete beginner to the more advanced rider. Facilities include indoor school, weather permitting outdoor school, show-jumping paddock and cross country course.

We offer livery with the security of knowing that our customer’s horse will be well looked after every day by our keen staff who are always willing to offer help and provide the advice if required.

We have two fully BHS qualified instructors so can offer teaching for exams as well as taking on apprentices for those interested in furthering their career in equestrian services. As a recognised Disabled Centre with the Riding for the Disabled Association we offer regular day trips and much much more.

Duties will include;

  • Mucking out
  • Sweeping yard
  • Feeding/water/hay nets
  • Tacking up and tack cleaning
  • Grooming
  • Riding
  • 8 hours of training in riding

Experience with horses is essential
Must be able to work towards Level 1 or higher in Functional Skills maths and English
Full training provided through the Equine Apprenticeship supported by Haddon Training

Successful candidate will be;

  • Keen and enthusiastic
  • Confident handling and riding horses
  • Willing to work outside in all weather
Possibility of Level 3 Senior Equine Groom Apprenticeship on completion of Level 2
Accommodation available and possibility to take own horse
