Description of Opportunity
We are now looking for a full time chef to work in our large, country style café kitchen. It is a fast paced, high intensity environment so the suitable candidate must thrive under pressure and enjoy working with food. This is a great opportunity for someone who has a keen interest in local, seasonable food. We would like someone who can be creative with menu ideas and cook hearty foods. We are looking for someone who can work well as an individual but willing and able to help out wherever and who has a good sense of humour and initiative. Who can keep a clean and tidy workspace adhering to health and safety along with safer food better business procedures.
Hours: 5 days a week, 8:30 – 4:30 (variable) to include weekend work. Salary: Dependent on experience Qualifications: Food Hygiene Certificate is essential

Learners ideally need to have Maths and English GCSE at grade C/4 or equivalent.
Apprentices will be working towards achievement of the following:
• Certification of Commis Chef Apprenticeship standard
• Level 2 Functional Skills in English and Maths (where applicable)
Good Common sense
To stay with in the business and head towards head chef role.
