l Ensure Clients are at the heart of care delivery and their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing

l To support Clients with all aspects of their day to day living, enabling them to enjoy the best possible quality of life

l Most of the employee's work will be within a day opportunities setting supporting Clients to access and engage in meaningful activities.

l Compassion, good communication skills and a calm and caring manner are essential for this important role

l Ensure Care Plans and other information about how to support Clients are followed

l Be responsible for informing Senior staff of any changes in the needs of Clients

l Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals they support

l Develop effective working relationships with other employees

l Work in cooperation with members of the multi-disciplinary teams to maximise opportunities for people

l If desired by the Client, maintain and develop relationships with family, friends and other people important in their life

l Seek opportunities for personal and professional growth

l Be a role model for other Apprentices and Support Workers and be an ambassador for the service

l Be professional, polite and reasonable at all times

l Commit to achieving the relevant qualifications commensurate with the role

l Attend statutory training and any other training as directed by management and your Assessor
