Description of Opportunity
Our main focus is to offer all the children in our setting the best care and start in life through play and fun activities, to keep them safe and to make them feel welcome and valued.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
Support the children in our care to learn and grow in confidence through the provision of fun activities, kind caring support and encouragement.
Bring ideas and enthusiasm to the work place.
Be able to use their initiative.
Play outside as well as inside and engage with Beach School
Understand how to keep children safe.
Understand and follow the EYFS statutory framework.
Take on key children as their confidence grows and write observations, assess learning and write reports.
Be happy and be able to join in with the silly shenanigans that make childcare fun and joyful.
Have good basic maths skills.
Have a good use of the English language, both verbal and written.
Have an enhanced DBS check.
Change nappies and support children with their personal care.
Prepare snack and support children at lunch times.
Behave in an appropriate manner and be a good role model to the children.
Be willing to attend team meetings and attend additional training required for the role such as First Aid, safeguarding and Health and Safety training.
Term time hours only. Daily hours would be 8.30 - 3.30 with 1 day off to study each week. This study can be at home but evidence of work will be monitored.
