Description

Breaking in young horses for clients and their own foals and young stock. Aster Horses are also a breeding yard, breeding dressage horses for competition.

Owner Daniel Watson competes internationally for Great Britain, abroad and at home, at GP level.

An apprentice will gain a lot of experience as they are so versatile being a professional yard managed by Craig Messenger.

The chosen apprentice will gain a lot of experience in this versatile environment where they train up to Grand Prix level.

Duties will include;

. Mucking out

•Turning out/bringing in

•Tack cleaning

•Tacking up

•Feeding

•Filling hay nets

•Clipping/pulling/plaiting/trimming

•Bathing

•Rug changing

•Schooling

•Riding

•First aid

•Exercising horses from the ground (lunging, horse walker, long reining, pessoa training etc.)

•Holding for vet/farrier/dentist

  • Some horse care experience would be beneficial
GCSE Level 4/ Grade C in Maths and English or equivalent.
