Description

Great opportunity to join a successful and friendly racing stables in the Cotswolds.

Excellent accommodation facilities hours wages expenses bonuses insurance. Weight restriction applies (Max 10st). Experience preferred but if a confident and strong rider (any discipline) you will be considered. Excellent hours.

Riding 2 to 3 horses a day. Taking your horses racing. Minimal Mucking out. Every other week end off and pro rata wed afternoons off. 30 days holiday per year. Position available now.

General duties will include;

  • Mucking out
  • Paddock maintenance
  • Riding out
  • Taking horses racing and all associated duties
  • Leading out horses, mares and foals
  • Must be a competent rider

Experience with horses/racehorses is essential. Please note that applicants with no experience will not be considered for this position.
GCSE Level 4/ Grade C in Maths and English or equivalent.
Contact Haddon Training to discuss if not yet achieved - Must be able to work towards Level 1 or higher in Functional Skills Maths and English
Full training provided through the Equine Apprenticeship supported by Haddon Training

Successful candidate will be;

  • A competent rider
  • Familiar with the racing weight restrictions that apply (max. 10 stone for this position)
  • Confidence to ride out on gallops
  • Willing to work outside in all weather
Possibility of Level 3 Senior Equine Racing GroomApprenticeship on completion of Level 2
Accommodation available. Salary 18-20 £262 pw and 21-24 £330
