Description
A Builders Merchant Apprentice would be expected to learn
all aspects of working within a builder’s merchant spending time working in
both the Warehouse and Sales Office including time on the trade counter. They would also be required to develop their
knowledge of the products sold as well as learning about building relationships
with customers and suppliers.
DUTIES: Within the sales office the successful
candidate will assist the more experienced sales people within the team, raising
orders and inputting information on the computer system as well as serving
customers and answering telephones. During their time in the Warehouse, they
will load/unload customer and supplier vehicles and pick orders for James
Burrell vehicles.

Maths and English at Grade 4 (or equivalent) and above desirable although not essential.
Trade Supplier Level 2.
This apprenticeship programme is delivered with a blended learning approach and includes a mixture of onsite tutor visits and online tutor led sessions. All delivery is completed in the workplace and you will not need to attend any off-site training.
