Intequal, in partnership with the Microsoft Apprenticeship Programme are currently recruiting for an energetic individual to join a fantastic company as a Helpdesk Engineer Apprentice. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn and gain on the job experience to kickstart your career in IT.
The Company are a managed service provider supplying both reacTve and proacTve support to businesses in Yorkshire and beyond.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive individual to join their team and help them provide IT support services for a Yorkshire IT company with an excellent reputation. You will be able to gain valuable experience in providing IT support for existing customers to help develop your skills and gain experience.
This will involve:
- Support of existing clients,
- Answering support tickets,
- Proactively checking generated alerts from our monitoring software,
-Sending monthly reports, checking backups and suggesting upgrades.
Full training will be provided on our specific IT systems and standards of communication and in house support processes.
The Company will provide you with full training in the software and systems they use however a good knowledge of business IT solutions such as Windows server, Exchange, VPNs, Networking will be required.
You will be required to travel to LS21 to undertake the role but we do offer flexibility in working and we could discuss a small business with an excellent relationship and want to fully support you to become a successful part of their team.
Throughout the duration of the apprenticeship, you will receive Microsoft training and accreditation through blended learning. This combines online technical training within a virtual classroom, as well as real-world and practical experience with your employer. The certifications you gain are highly respected and globally recognised. The skills, knowledge and experience you will gain whilst on the programme are invaluable, giving you the best possible start in your professional career within the IT industry.

You will be willing to work hard and eager to learn

You will have superb IT skills and a base knowledge of hardware & software.

You will show aptitude in communication and demonstrating the ability to listen as well as knowing when to respond.
GCSE's including English and Maths at Grade 4/ C and above or equivalent
You will be enrolled on to the award-winning Microsoft Partner Apprenticeship Programme. You will work towards gaining skills across a variety of technical areas including MTA Cloud Fundamentals and MTA Network Fundamentals, these are globally recognised certifications, you will also gain a City and Guilds Diploma in Coding and logic and mobile and operating systems. This will also extend to business processes and project management.
The successful candidate will be highly organised
Have excellent communication skills
Good knowledge of business IT solutions such as Windows server, Exchange, VPNs, Networking will be required
Passionate about IT
After the Apprenticeship, the candidate would be able to progress into a full-time permanent role.
