Description
We cater for adults with a learning disability. The design has been very much with our customers in mind, we have a calming and modern environment with areas for activities, quiet reflection along with social spaces for communal times. We appreciate we are all individuals and want our customers to have a sense of purpose and fulfilment.

Carers strive to be sensitive to the Residents’ ever changing needs. Such needs may be medical/therapeutic (for physical and mental welfare), cultural, psychological, spiritual, emotional and social. Residents are encouraged to participate in the development of their individualised Care Plans in which the involvement of family and friends may be appropriate and is greatly valued.
You would be expected to carry out various duties which will include:
- Provide attention when needed, whilst ensuring Clients retain their comfort and dignity
- Closely monitor Clients who may be confused and/or who have behavioural problems
- Helping out in the unit to support your Team to cover holidays, absence etc .
- Pay particular attention to assisting Clients who have limited mobility, or physical/learning difficulties, making the best use of aids provided Ensure the Care Centre’s resources are used appropriately
- Make and change beds, ensuring that rooms are clean and tidy, and commodes are empty, in line with the Care Centre’s disposal of waste policy

Successful completion of a probationary period and completion of the Apprenticeship programme will allow the candidate to be trained on further areas within the business and the next position on the succession plan could lead to a supervisory position
As an Apprentice you will be included on a Level 2 Adult Carer Qualification. Your qualification will be delivered by an Award Winning Training Provider who will support your learning and development throughout your Apprenticeship. This will involve a Regional Trainer coming to visit you in the workplace on a regular basis to deliver the training and guide you through your Apprenticeship
