The successful candidate will learn a range of skills including: Double entry bookkeeping Preparing VAT returns Accounts preparation for sole traders and partnerships Processing payroll Client communication General administrative duties.

You will need to have strong numeracy, literacy and IT skills. However, no prior knowledge of accountancy is required. A general interest in business will be expected, as will be a willingness to learn and a positive growth attitude.
8 GCSE's at Grade C or higher including Maths and English. 3 A levels at Grade C or higher Equivalent qualifications to those above will be considered.

The successful applicant will be studying towards: AAT (Level 2) Foundation Certificate in Accounting and AAT (Level 3) Advanced Diploma in Accounting and will be required to attend Exeter College one day per week (term times only). You will received full support from Exeter College and your employer to achieve your Apprenticeship.

Ability to analyse problems and communicate clearly. Be interested in helping people, rising to challenges and wanting to make a difference to the world.
Satisfactory completion of an Intermediate Apprenticeship in Accounting will be expected to lead onto the Advanced and Higher Apprenticeships in Accounting. You will then be able to study ACA to qualify as a Chartered Accountant.
