Description of Opportunity
Adviser will develop student participation in the planning and delivery of
Information Advice and Guidance (IAG) and wider across the Federation, where
appropriate. Provide information and advice to individuals and to groups of
students in relation to all aspects of their career progression planning.
Working closely with the Career Coach in school, develop strong links with
employers and businesses to facilitate opportunities such as employer led
enrichment activities and employer collaboration in the curriculum.
- Working closely with
pastoral leads in school and Year 11 Tutors to ensure up-to-date intended
destinations and timely reporting to the local authority.
- Work effectively
with groups of students such as planning and delivering careers related
workshops and/or assisting with assemblies.
- Establish productive
working relationships with staff from specialist curriculum areas. Work
collaboratively to plan and develop resources and ensure work related learning
is integrated into programmes of study.
- Work closely with
further education providers, external organisations and all relevant
stakeholders to ensure student careers needs are met.
- Develop and maintain
positive working relationships with parents/carers. Provide clear,
comprehensive and accurate careers IAG to enable them to support their child’s

Careers Adviser colleagues within and outside the CLF. Share best practice,
seek advice and keep up to date with developments locally and national
- Ensure any Child
Protection disclosures or pastoral concerns are dealt with sensitively and
referred appropriately in line with Safeguarding policy and procedures.
- Ensure all written
and electronic records, reports, letters and other documentation are completed
in an accurate, comprehensive and timely manner.
