Description of Opportunity
You’ll be baking with organic and locally produced heritage grains making delicious, wholesome quality food for the restaurant.
You will gain an understanding of an independent busy work environment, an appreciation for small independent producers, wood-fired and standard baking, quality ingredients and ethical produce, seasonality in food, and most importantly flavour.
We are happy to work together to support the right person in developing their skills and hope to facilitate a full on-site independent bakery to complement the next phases of our business development.
We have a strong commitment to our food community and the environment, near and far. We offer an equal share of tronc tips. We open Wednesday to Sunday with 21 days holiday a year pro-rata, with Christmas off.
As a candidate, you will start with basic levels of responsibility, such as simple bakes and prep for the day to get used to our way of cooking and the range we offer.
You'll get used to working in a busy environment and pace. Increasing the responsibility to organising and prioritising baking tasks as you gain initiative and kitchen know how.
We bake everything from scratch so you'll learn, focaccia, sourdough pizza dough, hand stretching, dessert plating and making, some delicious wholesome breakfast options. We want you to ensure that guidelines are followed. Communicating with team members. As you gain skills and confidence we can work on developing into more complex bread dessert options.

Conscientious and tidy, organised.

Production Chef Level 2 Apprenticeship
Keen to learn, happy to be in team, interest in people, self-motivated. Friendly whilst conscious of work-load and responsibilities, courteous, affable.
We offer a range of roles within the restaurant. Once you are competent in the kitchen team and have good time management in the kitchen, showing initiative for more knowledge, then an extensive baking training can be discussed, with the end goal being a role in our planned bakery.
