Description of Opportunity

Working ‘front of house’ at The Thatched House: Bar service duties (serving drinks, making cocktails) Meeting, greeting and seating customers Upselling and delivering perfect customer service Preparing customer’s bills and processing payments Cleaning behind the bar, including glassware and shelves Cellar management, real ale and keg dispense Stock ordering and replenishment Checking deliveries and ensuring appropriate storage requirements are adhered to Maintaining hygiene standards and undertaking workplace cleaning routines (including the cleaning associated equipment, cleaning of the public areas) The post holder may be required to perform duties other than those given in the job description. The particular duties and responsibilities attached to the post may vary from time to time without changing the general character of the duties or the level of responsibility entailed. List of Duties include; Deliver excellent customer service, at all times Serve and present beverages, quickly and efficiently, meeting our standards Assist in keeping the bar, front-of-house and toilets clean and tidy, at all times Keep up to date with current promotions and new products Make customers aware of offers on our great food and drink range Speak to customers to ensure that they are satisfied with their meals Maintain personal knowledge by completing in-house training and workbooks Always adhere to all company policies and procedures and licensing laws Be involved and contribute at team meetings Carry out instructions given by your manager

Learners ideally need to have maths and English GCSE at grade C/4 or equivalent.
Apprentices will be working towards achievement of the following:Certification of Hospitality Team Member Apprenticeship standardLevel 1 Functional Skills in English and maths (where applicable)
Be honest and reliable Be trustworthy and respectful Be immaculately dressed Maintain excellent time-keeping and attendance Be professional at all times
Potential full time position and/or progression onto the Level 3 Hospitality Supervisor Apprenticeship.
