The apprentice role
You will work as an Apprentice Administrator providing support to the HR Team and gaining valuable work experience in the world of HR and Business Admin whilst studying towards a recognised qualification.
This is a great opportunity to work and learn from a professional and diverse HR team. We are looking for a bright and a driven person to join us as HR Admin Apprentice on an 18-month fixed term contract. To be successful you will need to be committed to your own development and be prepared to make the most of the opportunities, and hands on experience and study.
The HR Apprentice will support the team to provide general administrative support. You will gain insight into our people function, and learn about our organisation, gaining technical knowledge and guidance from knowledgeable mentors on your path to success. You will develop a range of logical and analytical skills, learning how HR works in practice as you combine learning with day-to-day operational experience. As HR integrates with every part of a business you will master excellent communication skills and learn how to deal with situations effectively, sensitively and within the limitations of legal and business processes.

Salary Grade: £5.00 per hour (£9,646.00 pa)
Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract linked to Apprenticeship.
Working Hours: Full Time 37 hours per week, full year. 22 days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays

General Description: To ensure support of high-quality HR services for the Multi Academy Trust within a framework of best practice, policy and law.

- Support the administration of distinct areas of HR provision across the Multi Academy Trust (MAT), working as part of the HR Team currently based at Harrogate Grammar School.
- To support the team in capturing pre-payroll information, including attendance, starters, leavers and variation notifications.
- Assist with day to day queries covering HR issues relating from recruitment to retirement.
- Learn to be a key user of the Core HR system; ensure staff computerised records are maintained in accordance with audit and data protection requirements
- Comply with all Trust policies and procedures including child protection, health, safety, welfare, security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting any concerns to the appropriate person.
- Contribute to the overall aims and values of the Trust, appreciate and support the roles of other members of the wider team and attend and participate in relevant meetings as required.
- Be aware of and take part in the performance management framework and participate in training and development activities as required.

As a HR Support
Apprentice with BPP, you will complete the HR Support Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship,
which is aligned with the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development
(CIPD). Upon completion you will be awarded the CIPD Foundation Certificate and
you will be able to apply for Membership of CIPD.

pre-recorded lectures, and face to face inductions and masterclasses.
As a Business Administration Apprentice with BPP, you will undertake the
Business Administrator Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship.
