Description of Opportunity
Assist service users who
need help with dressing, undressing, bathing and toilet.
Support service users with
mobility problems and other physical disabilities such as incontinence, help in
the care and use of aids and personal equipment.
As key worker to take
accountability and responsibility for acting upon concerns, with the named
individual(s,) to the appropriate level.
To be knowledgeable
regarding all service users, but especially regarding the person(s) for whom
named as a key worker.
To undertake domestic
duties, as required.
To be appointed
"person in charge" in the absence of senior staff
in the promotion of mental and physical activity of service users through talking to them, taking them
sharing with them in
activities such as reading, writing, hobbies and recreations.
Support service users to
change beds; tidy rooms and carry out cleaning duties.
Support service users to Inspect,
launder and mend service users’ clothing.
Support service users to Cook
meals, serve meals, assist service users at meal times if required, wash up
Answer the door and the telephone, greet visitors, be
polite and respectful at all times.
Complete all required
documentation, daily support files, care plans, incident reports, HACCUP file,
H&S, fire and other required documentation.
Instigate and maintain
Individual Care Plans for service users.
Take part and contribute in
staff and service user meetings.
Complete all Mandatory training within the 3
month probation period. Complete service user specific ·
training and any other
training required, within the timescales given. Complete Diploma in care after
3 month probation period.
Report all accidents and
complaints to senior staff member in
charge of shift.
Carrying out sleep-in/night
duty as required.

Clear written and verbal communication style.Basic IT skills and numerical ability.To be willing to undertake required training, sometimes off site and outside normal working hours.To be willing and able to travel between locations as required.To be available for flexible working patterns including evenings, weekends, sleep-ins and nights as required.
No previous qualifications or experience are required as
full training will be given. We provide high quality, in-depth and industry
leading training, which leads on to ongoing personal development.
You will be supported through a level 1 certificate as part of your pre-employment training. If successful, you will complete a Level 2 in Health and Social Care apprenticeship program, Certificate in a Health and Social Care Setting delivered through Milewood Care dedicated training provider, Realise.

will be offered a guaranteed interview for a job, with a view to progress onto
a level 2 apprenticeship within Health and Social Care.
Prepare to Work in Adult Social Care. In response to the current challenges facing the health and social care sector, Realise have created a new online course. The fully-funded programme aims to develop the learner’s knowledge of adult social care, as they work towards employment in the sector. This course will see participants gaining a TQUK Level 1 Award in Preparation for Work in Adult Social Care (RQF) which is regulated by Ofqual. Training is delivered online, to help people to study flexibly and in a way which works for them.
