Overview:



We are looking for a conscientious and questioning individual to provide second-line support to customers that use our Civica Experience SaaS solution, and to deliver a variety of data jobs for internal and external clients. 



Principal responsibilities and tasks:





  • Provide second line support to clients that use our Civica Experience SaaS solution.


  • Work in a collaborative manner with Database Services colleagues and members of other teams that provide first-line support.


  • Manage a variety of database jobs using Access, SQL server, Excel and other tools available.


  • Assist with database and form builds and the uploading of data for new customers.


  • To learn and, ultimately, be able to execute autonomously all Database Services processes required of the role.


  • Manipulate, clean, manage, configure and upload data for various customers and jobs.


  • Problem-solve, investigate and troubleshoot issues and collaborate on finding solutions.


  • Communicate effectively with other team members and give updates on current jobs, tasks, projects and issues.


  • Effectively manage time and prioritise tasks using our case management system.


  • Help identify things that can be improved – recommend and support changes to make our solutions the best they can be.


  • Develop and maintain a good understanding of the business unit’s products and services.


  • Comply with our quality and data protection procedures.




In addition, undertake any other tasks, duties or projects which may arise from time to time and which are appropriate with the general level of this post and as directed by your Line Manager. 



Reporting relationship(s):





  • Line manager: Database Services Manager




Close day-to-day working relationship with other members of our Database Services Team.

  • IT literate and competent with MS Access, SQL, and Excel.


  • Conscientious and questioning with excellent attention to detail.


  • Strong ability to understand and work with data and databases.


  • Strong organisational skills.


  • Good communication skills both verbally and in writing.

  • Strong team player.


  • Creatively minded.

Preferred skills:





  • Experience of working with SaaS products


  • Experience in one or more of the following areas of work: public participation/engagement, healthcare, patient experience, membership bodies




Entry Level Requirements:



The entry requirements for this programme are as follows:





  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject


  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)


  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject




Experience (if the learner can’t meet the qualification requirements):





  • Those working in a role (for at least 6 months) where data is used on a regular basis and able to demonstrate working towards Level 2 in Maths and English.




If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
