Description of Opportunity
would suit someone who has an interest in working within a competition yard and
has a passion for horses and looking to progress in the industry. With regular shows
both nationally and internationally, the right person will have fantastic opportunities
to travel and work alongside the team whilst learning at the same time.
The role involves usual yard work such as
mucking out, feeding and watering, rugging up, turnout and bring in, grooming ,
tacking and untacking, yard and field maintenance. Experience of handling
horses from the ground is needed and be confident in doing so. The job requires the candidate
to have good timekeeping skills as horses thrive on routine and be able to take
initiative in completing tasks in a timely manner. It is a hands on manual job
and the person should be prepared for getting involved in all aspects of equine
care and management.
We would ideally be looking for someone
who is a competent rider that may be looking to progress and develop their riding/showjumping
further with the support from Nissi who is also a qualified showjumping coach
and former AASE student with Haddon Training so is in a unique position to support you
as an apprentice.

Essential: experienced and confident in handling fit competition horses.
Desirable: an interest in showjumping or the competition environment
GCSE Level 4/ Grade C in Maths and English or equivalent.
