Description

Dogs Play Daycare has been open for over 6 years and operates with a 5 Star daycare licence looking after upto 48 dogs at any one time. We are open from 7:30am till 6pm Mon to Friday & Saturday 8am -1pm. Our purpose-built facility is just outside Swadlincote South Derbyshire and enjoys indoor as well as outdoor grass & all-weather secure play areas for the dogs to play in.


Job Role: Full Time

The successful candidate will need to be comfortable with dogs and all that that entails e.g., picking up dog mess and working outside in all weather conditions.

They will complete all their Level 2 Animal Care Qualification study and coursework for the Level 2 Animal Care Apprenticeship via Haddon Trainings tutor who provides 1-2-1 tutoring in person (here at Dogs Play) and online whilst on shift.


The successful Pack leader will be part of a team that works one of five six hour shifts and we rotate those shift patterns, so each Pack Leader get to see all aspects of looking after our pack. Shifts start at 7am and finishing at 6:15pm (Mon to Friday) and 7:45 till 1:15 on Saturdays – Saturdays are done on a rotation basis.

Alongside the level 2 Animal Care Apprenticeship work, duties will include:

Supervision of dogs (all sizes and ages) we work a single pack in the main at a staff to dog ratio of 1:8

Feeding

Enrichment activities

Cleaning play areas and equipment

Customer service

GCSE Level 4/ Grade C in Maths and English or equivalent.
