Description of Opportunity

What will you be doing?

To be the first point of call for all customers by answering incoming calls, inputting jobs into the taxi booking system to meet the customers transportation needs, often taking initiative and problem solving due to lone working. Convey a high profile of the company by offering quality customer service. This position requires determination, control, multi-tasking, problem solving, honesty and organisational skills. as you will be managing the office you are located in, with the support and guidance of the remote Team leader / supervisor. Progression opportunities available for the right candidate.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • To answer the telephone in a polite and appropriate manner.
  • To take customers booking accurately. Ensuring correct time, date, and pick-up point etc.
  • To ensure airport and return bookings have all required information
  • Ensure customers are given a correct estimated time as given by the Shift Supervisors.
  • Memorise and use codes (correctly) whenever possible.
  • Give drivers correct information on driver notes and limit abbreviations where possible.
  • Administer special requests for services: cars, number of passengers, pets, low/high vehicles etc.
  • Follow company rules and regulations of 001 ROAYL CABS
  • All employees are responsible for ensuring company resources are used in an effective manner to ensure best operating costs.
  • Maintaining a high level of timekeeping is essential.
  • Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping at workspace and communal areas

Maths and English at Grade C (or equivalent) and above desirable.

Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship plus Functional Skills and Technical Certificate if appropriate.

This apprenticeship programme is delivered with a blended learning approach and includes a mixture of onsite tutor visits and online tutor led sessions. All delivery is completed in the workplace and you will not need to attend any off-site training.

Full training will be given in this challenging and varied role to ensure that the apprentice has the skills and expertise to become a permanent member of the team upon completion of the apprenticeship programme. Wage regularly reviewed and increased based on performance.
