Description
·
In
terms of the administrative tasks, we require somebody to help with filing of
confidential information, maintaining records of sales and deliveries, and
inputting data onto spreadsheets for the Finance department.
·
We
also require help with recording stock levels or certain pieces of equipment,
finding alternative products, and comparing prices. This information will also
need to be recorded and submitted to the Finance department.
·
The vacancy also includes some customer service, mainly organising deliveries
over the telephone, but also calling post-delivery to check on the service and
see if other items might be needed.
·
There
is the opportunity to learn more about mobility and healthcare equipment, and
to advise people on what might help them.
·
During
busy periods we may require the apprentice to help process orders using an
online database – this involves some IT work, printing, filing, and organising
urgent deliveries.
·
There
may also be busy periods in which they are required to answer telephone queries
or take messages, or greet customers visiting the warehouse.
·
In
terms of online selling, we require someone to help set up an eBay account and
start advertising equipment online. They would be responsible for setting up listings
and communicating with customers and working with their Line Manager to arrange
delivery/postage of the equipment.

- Basic IT skills – mainly in MS Office
4 GCSE’s at
grades A*- D (9-4) including Maths and English (or equivalent).

There may be opportunity to work closely with a Seating Advisor, to learn more about
specialist equipment and help create quotes and invoices for sales.
During busy periods there may also be some administrative tasks to do for our Newcastle branch.
You must achieve at least a Level 1 on the Initial Assessment that is completed during an Apprenticeship Selection Event at College. You will be required to work towards Functional Skills Level 2 English and maths if you do not hold a GCSE grade C/4 in English and maths.
