Description
This is an entry level opportunity within our soup production facility. The role will support the team leader in all areas of food production and help ensure our product is safe for the consumer and of a high quality.
Responsibilities include:
Assemble, blending and packing of quality products to company standards.
Ensuring all products are made to company specifications and reporting products which fall outside of their specification.
Help to maintain good manufacturing practices by keeping the work area clean and tidy.
Following health and safety rules and guidelines at all times and reporting any concerns to the team leader or manager immediately.
Abide by Food Safety Law, keeping food safe by practising high standards of personal hygiene.
Working as part of a team and communicating effectively with others is an important part of the role.
Full training will be provided for every aspect of the job role. The role will provide the opportunity to obtain a good understanding of a food production facility and the career opportunities that exist in this and the wider food manufacturing sector.

This is an entry level role. It is expected that the individual will be motivated and keen to learn new skills and to participate fully in the apprenticeship to develop their skills, knowledge and behaviour. A good level of English is expected to communicate effectively and to contribute to teamwork.
You will receive a full company induction and training on all aspects of the role that you are covering. You will be expected to pass Food Safety Level 2 following an online course.
The apprenticeship will begin after successful completion of the probation period which is 12 weeks.

After successful completion of the apprenticeship you will continue to play a vital role as a member of the production team in the smooth running of the manufacturing facility. Opportunities for further advancements such as the Level 3 Food & Drink Advanced Process Operator which is a basis for more advanced technical or leadership roles may be considered.
